As a church we are not part of any particular denomination, but we do have lots of links to other churches and organisations. We also support a number of mission partners, both here in this country and abroad.
Partner churches
Grace Church Wakefield
GCW is a church plant that started in 2016 when a number of members from Dewsbury Evangelical Church saw a need to share the good news of Jesus with people in Wakefield. Whilst they are now a church in their own right, we still have lots of links with them.
Mirfield Evangelical Church
MEC is a church plant that started with some members of DEC in 1986 in the nearby town of Mirfield. MEC is now an established independent church, but we still have lots of connections with them, including running our annual MaD (Mirfield and Dewsbury) Camp together.
Partner organisations
FIEC
We are affiliated to the FIEC (Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches). The FIEC is an organisation that brings together similar churches from all over the UK, and provides support and resources for its member churches.
YGP
YGP (Yorkshire Gospel Partnership) is a local organisation which provides training and encourages cooperation between evangelical churches in Yorkshire.
