Heckmondwike


We recently out-grew our building on Sunday mornings. So, we have moved to a larger room in Heckmondwike, which is next door to Dewsbury, for all Sunday morning services until further notice. Please note, our Sunday Evening meetings are still held at our building on Crackenedge Lane in Dewsbury.

How to Find us in Heckmondwike

Directions from Dewsbury

  • Take the Halifax Road (A638) from the Ring Road
  • Proceed to the top of the hill past the Hospital on your left
  • Go straight on at the cross-roads with traffic lights and the Butcher's Arms on the left
  • Proceed down hill and onto the map passing Heckmondwike Grammar School on the left
  • In Heckmondwike centre turn left at the lights and clock tower - onto Market Street
  • Keep straight on at the cross-roads with Church St on the left (and D.A.M cars) and Station Road on the right
  • Pass Brooke St on the left and then the Library
  • Take next left up Brunswick St at first junction-with Thomas St- Centre is on your right

Directions from Thornhill and Huddersfield Road

  • If you come up Thornhill Rd (past the Tip) turn left at the traffic lights onto Huddersfield Rd
  • Take the first right onto Temple Rd. Turn left at top of Temple Rd onto Heckmondwike Rd - pass Crow Nest Park on your right and then the Crematorium on your right. Follow the road for approx 1.0 mile. This road becomes Walkley Lane on the above map.
  • Turn right on Artillery St and then left on Thomas St - the Centre is on the street on the left
  • or - turn right at Brunswick St - the Centre is on your right at the junction with Thomas St

Directions from Mirfield:- 2 options

  • At the top of Scout Hill (before the Fire Station) turn left onto Ravenshouse Road. At the end of the road turn left onto Heckmondwike Road which then becomes Walkley Lane on the map. Continue following the instructions from Thornhill and Huddersfield Rd above.
  • or - from A62 turn right at lights down Norristhorpe Lane which becomes Station Rd on map
  • Turn right on Walkley Lane and second left up Brunswick St - the Centre is on the right
